Walsden Junior School PTA

We are a small - but friendly - group, made up of parents, grandparents and headteacher. Our main aim in the past has been to raise funds for extra school equipment and resources, such as musical instruments, video cameras and lunchtime play equipment.

We organise social events, such as Valentine's Discos, fashion shows and the Summer Fayre.

In the Summer Term, we have organised another visit from Bags2school, which will mean another opportunity to have a good sort out at home and recycle unwanted clothes.

Of course, our biggest and most successful fund-raising event is our annual Summer Fayre, which we share with the Infant School.

We meet up a couple of times each term.

We hope to hold an Easter event in the next few weeks, so watch this space!

For the last 2 years, PTA funds have been used to subsidise whole school trips to pantomimes at The Victoria Theatre, Halifax, which the pupils have all really enjoyed.

New members are always welcome, and if you feel like joining us we are a friendly and happy group, always eager to hear of clever ways to raise money and help the school.

If you fancy a change, please come along to one of our meetings. The next one will be on Tuesday 26th February at 3.30 pm at the school. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please share any ideas or interests you may have by contacting us through this web site (use the 'Guestbook' to add a message).
